Please read the following participation agreement and waiver carefully before registering to participate in our Program
Location: The YouthCares Program is located at 2122 Oak Grove Road Suite E. serving the Hattiesburg/ Pine Belt area.
Registration: Registration and payment for YouthCares After - School Program and Tutoring Program must be completed and submitted before or on upon arrival of the child’s first day at the facility. Full payment is required at the beginning of each week that services begin for the participant. Due to limited space, refunds will not be given. There will be no proration of fees for any days a child participant cannot attend. If participants are receiving tutoring services in more than one subject special packages are available. Age Guidelines: The YouthCares After - School Program is for children ages 5 to 12 years old. The YouthCares Tutoring Program is for children 5 to 17 years old.
Hours of Operation: The YouthCares After - School program hours are 2:00 pm - 6: 30 pm Monday - Friday. The Tutoring Program hours are 2:00pm - 6:00pm Monday - Friday. Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm ; by appointment only. The virtual learning assistance program hours are 7:30 am - 6:00pm.
Pick-up and Drop-Off Procedures: Children need to arrive between 2:00pm - 3:00pm and must be picked up between 6:00pm - 6:30 pm; for the after - school program. Parent/guardian must park their vehicle and walk their child into the facility and sign the child into the facility each day.
Late Pick-Up Policy:
There will be a late-fee assessed for children who are picked up after dismissal time. The late fee is $1.00 for each minute past the dismissal time. Repeated late pick-ups may result in the removal of the participant from the program, with no refund for prepaid programs.
Nutrition/Snacks: Children will be provided with a light snack daily during scheduled snack time each day in the program. Breakfast and lunch is provided for participants in the virtual learning program and summer camp.
Safety: Your child's safety is extremely important Our camp has policies and preparations in place in case of inclement weather, fire safety, intruder and emergency response. The YouthCares program will follow the standard safety procedures used by schools in the unlikely event of inclement weather, fire or an intruder.
If you make arrangements for someone else to be responsible for your child, please inform a staff member and add the person's name & contact information to the child's pick up list. Tell us prior to registration if there are any court ordered agreements which would prevent a child from being released to a particular person. We will need documentation provided by any court-ordered agreement of this nature.
Expectations of YouthCares Participants:
Participants are expected to use appropriate behavior & self-discipline to participate in our program. The policy and intent of our program is to provide equal opportunity for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, financial means, and any other status protected under federal, state, or local laws. We promote respect and do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, or other discriminatory behavior or expression. YouthCares Mississippi reserves the right to dismiss any student from the program due to disruptive behavior. No refunds or credits will apply to future services
Student cell phones should be turned off or on vibrate while in attendance in the center.
In the event of severe weather, YouthCares will closely monitor weather reports, and if severe weather threat is imminent, will follow safety severe weather procedures.
YouthCares Mississippi does not share personal information such as: e-mail, phone numbers, home addresses or any other personal information.
YouthCares is mindful of certain food allergies in our selection of snacks for participants. A variety of snack options will be available. We ask parents to provide snacks for children with severe allergies.
Change Requests for Tutoring Program:
We understand plans can change and emergencies happen. If you'd like to apply for a change to another week or day of tutoring, we require a 10-day notice. Please send written requests to: . We cannot guarantee placement and requests are based on availability. If another week is not available, we will not be able to refund the registration deposit.
