Welcome to YouthCares Summer Camp 2026! We are excited to have your child join us for a fun, engaging, and enriching summer experience. This year’s theme is “Every Child Has a Superpower!”, and each week your child will explore a different “superpower” through hands-on activities, academic enrichment, and exciting adventures.

**Daily Learning & Enrichment**

At YouthCares, we believe learning continues all year long. Campers will participate in daily academic enrichment activities designed to strengthen reading, math, and critical thinking skills in a fun and engaging way.

We will also use IXL Learning, an interactive online program aligned with Mississippi education standards, to support individualized learning and help each child continue progressing academically throughout the summer.  IXL learning is an interactive online app with lessons for all subjects and grade levels.  Students will participate in IXL learning on their grade level and complete lessons based on Mississippi teaching standards that are taught in their grade.  Students will be asked to bring their electronic device on IXL learning day to use the app once a week.

Here is a look at what your child can expect each week:

Week 1: Superhero Origins

Campers will discover their unique strengths and talents while building confidence and friendships. Activities will focus on teamwork, self-awareness, and setting personal goals.

Week 2: Strength & Fitness Heroes

This week emphasizes physical health and wellness. Campers will participate in fun fitness challenges, outdoor games, and learn the importance of staying active.

Week 3: Genius Heroes (STEM)

Through engaging reading and writing activities, students will reflect on what it means to be a hero and how they can use their strengths to help  others.Campers will participate in a hands-on community service project, create a “Hero Legacy Poster,” and work together on a fun “Save the Community” team challenge.
